Not sure which massage you need? DON’T WORRY - you don’t have to know. Once you book your appointment, we’ll ask you some questions and adjust the massage therapy according to your needs. Prices are based on the amount of time - not on the type of massage - so you’ll get the massage you need!

Each appointment at The Massage Company is customized to you and your physical and mental needs that day. Our licensed massage therapists are skilled in multiple modalities and will mindfully determine the best types of massage therapy needed to work through a specific problem spot or to help you find the relief you came in for.

*If your massage appointment is booked with a Licensed Massage Therapist having 10 years of experience or more, there is a price increase of $10 per service.

A sports massage will include the application of a variety of massage therapy techniques that help the athlete achieve a specific goal. The purpose of the Sports Massage is to treat injuries and as a preventative therapy.  When working on muscles of athletes we focus on the health of your muscles and connective tissue, we work on range of motion and balance of muscle. We use various types of massage therapy modalities to work your soft tissue and release muscle tension and reduce any pain you might be feeling.  

Sports Massage 30 Minutes

A 30 minute Sports massage is perfect if you have one specific problem area you need addressed; such as a neck kink, muscle spasm, tension headache, scar tissue pain, etc. This appointment only allows your therapist enough time to work on one area of discomfort.

Sports Massage 60 Minutes (1 hour)

A 60 Sports massage allows your therapist the time to provide you with a customized massage that addresses your specific needs and wants for your appointment (Full-body work, upper body or lower body focused, etc).

Sports Massage 90 Minutes (1 hour and 30 minutes)

The 90 minute massage is perfect for when an hour just isn’t enough and your problem areas are deep-rooted and your muscles need some added attention in order to really release your tight muscles.

A 45 minute sports massage offers you a chance to have one of our massage therapists spend some time working on one distinct area such as your lower back, neck and shoulders, hips, etc. This appointment only allows your therapist enough time to work one specific area.

Sports Massage 75 Minutes (1 hour and 15 minutes)

75 minutes on the table is perfect if you are looking for a little added time to allow your therapist to focus on a specific area that’s been giving you trouble (low back, hips, shoulders, etc).

 

This technique targets the deeper layers of your muscles and connective tissue, and is used to release chronic muscle tension and inflammation that contribute to pain and stress. Stressed muscles can block nutrients and oxygen from getting to where they need to go, which leads to inflammation and toxin build up in your connective tissue. Compared to the other types of massage therapy, this modality uses slower, deep pressure strokes to reach your deepest layer of muscles and connective tissue that surround your joints.

Therapeutic Massage 30 Minutes

30 minutes of deep therapeutic massage may be just what you need if you have one specific problem area you want addressed; such as a neck kink, spasm, tension headache, scar tissue, etc. This appointment only allows your therapist enough time to work deeply on the one area of discomfort.

Therapeutic Massage 75 Minutes (1 hour and 15 minutes)

75 minutes proves to be the perfect amount of time if you are seeking a full-body massage with a little added time to allow your therapist to focus on a specific problem area also. Since each massage is customized for your needs and wants for that particular visit – your massage therapist will address your specific area in need of additional time (upper body or lower body focused, etc).

Therapeutic Massage 90 Minutes (1 hour and 30 minutes)

The 90 minute massage is perfect for when an hour just isn’t enough and your problem areas are deep-rooted need some added attention. Because each massage is customized for your needs and wants, your massage therapist may add in multiple types of massage therapy to your Therapeutic massage in order to really release your tight muscles.

Therapeutic Massage 60 Minutes (1 hour)

A full hour of this Therapeutic massage allows your therapist to target the deeper layers of your muscles and connective tissue. Your massage therapist will aim to release any chronic muscle tension and inflammation you may have contributing to pain and stress. Since everyone’s threshold for pressure varies, your therapist will customize your visit for your specific needs and wants (Full-body work, upper body or lower body focused, etc). Whether you are a regular or this is your first massage, once your massage is underway, a whole range of beneficial reactions are set in motion.

Swedish massage movements are used to help relax and energize your mind and body. Each one of our massage therapists will use the long strokes, kneading, deep circular movements, vibration and tapping movements of this gentle type of massage during a relaxing massage session. This relaxing massage modality increases the flow of oxygen in your blood and is very effective in reducing stress while improving your circulation.

Pregnancy can have a significant impact on your body. During pregnancy, your body is altered to make accommodations for the new life within you. Your body experiences rapid changes, adding physical stressors and tension to the psychological anxiety and stress you may already be feeling. It is essential for your health, your partner’s health, and your baby’s health that you find ways to manage this extra stress. Maternity massages are often recommended by physicians as a great and safe relaxation technique. This type of massage therapy uses special techniques to help reduce fluid retention (the primary cause of swelling), offer relief for lower back pain, and overall discomfort you may experience as an expectant mother.

We often make adjustments to the position an expecting mother is worked on, we are very conscious to avoid adding any unnecessary pressure to the abdomen and uterine ligaments while you receive your massage. Additionally, the level of pressure applied to specific areas are adjusted to ensure the comfort of both mom and baby.

Paraffin Wraps

Soften and revitalize your most overworked and dry skin areas. Strips of warm Paraffin dipped cloths are wrapped around or placed on certain areas of your body such as hands, feet, elbows, etc. The purpose of this treatment is to help with dry and hardened skin.This treatment helps increase elasticity of your dry and hardened skin for more comfortable movement and mobility of those areas.

Neurovascular Integration

If you have high anxiety, high stress, and are always feeling ‘wired’, this gentle, neutral touch technique can help calm your nervous system down by facilitating regulation of sensory processing. Neurovascular Integration allows us to connect with your nervous system through the skin to provide a pleasant stimulus to the processing centers in the spinal cord and brain in a more balanced way.

Active Isolated Stretching

The Active Isolated Stretching (AIS) method of muscle lengthening and fascial release is a type of Athletic Stretching Technique that provides effective, dynamic, facilitated stretching of major muscle groups, but more importantly, AIS provides functional and physiological restoration of superficial and deep fascial planes. A great modality for athletes and rehab patients to benefit from. Make sure if you add this modality to your session to wear or bring appropriate clothing to stretch in.

Cupping Therapy

Add this ancient technique to your massage session to allow for deeper access of your fascia. This therapy method works by improving circulation and getting your blood flowing to specific areas. All Cupping Therapy sessions are booked with Danielle, who is certified in Cupping along with many other types of massage therapy modalities. This technique includes the use suction and special cups on your skin that help your therapist break up deep-rooted knots and relax your hard to loosen spots without having as much deep, and sometimes painful, work done.

On-Site Chair Massage

Our massage therapists can come to your office or event; we can help you rejuvenate your team’s problem solving abilities, relieves fatigue, and aid with your team’s overall health. Day-to-day office duties, meetings, and deadlines can be a source of stress that can cause neck, back and shoulder aches that over-time hinder your team’s performance and productivity. On-site 15 to 20 minute chair massages are a great way to show your employees that you care about their physical and mental health while showing your overall appreciation.
